  The journey begins at the historic port of Bahía López, built in 1929, the starting point for a unique expedition through the remote Brazo Tristeza of Lake Nahuel Huapi.

  Navigation through Brazo Tristeza

  During the navigation, we enter a glacial fjord surrounded by towering mountains and waterfalls. Onboard, enjoy coffee, tea, and homemade cakes while admiring the scenery.

  Entry into the Valdivian Rainforest

  The vegetation thickens upon entering the Valdivian Rainforest, where abundant rain sustains a dense and diverse ecosystem, home to many native bird species.

  Birdwatching and Glacial Formations

  During the trip, it’s possible to spot condors, waterfowl, and forest birds, as well as formations carved by glaciers over 5,000 years ago.

  If weather permits, you can behold the majestic Mount Tronador, with its glaciers and eternal snows, rising up to 3,450 meters above sea level.

  Hike to the Frey Stream Waterfall

  At the end of the arm, we disembark for an easy 1,300-meter hike through the forest to the Frey Stream waterfall.

  Return to Bahía López

  After the hike, we return to the catamaran to head back to Bahía López port, concluding this unforgettable nature experience.

    The excursion takes place regardless of weather conditions. Rain, snow, and strong winds are common in Patagonia. Schedules may be modified due to trail closures or company decisions.
